Pandemic: Looking Back and Looking Forward

Dear Friends of FOL Foundation,
Well, what a year it has been for all of us! We have all gone through something over the last year that we have never experienced before and likely won’t experience again in our lifetime. Quite simply, this pandemic has changed all of us in profound ways even if we were fortunate enough not to be afflicted by the COVID-19 infection. I sincerely hope that you have come through this experience with everything intact and perhaps even stronger than ever before.

Fountain of Life Foundation’s work has not been immune to the pandemic, but we have adapted to the challenges as best as we can. In this newsletter, you will find updates from our local and global projects, as well as the introduction of new projects we are embarking on.

Our visiting team will probably return to Uganda toward the end of the year. Please let us know if you are interested in traveling with us for a life-changing experience! You can write to us at admin@folfoundation.com

Let me leave you with a note of sincere gratitude for all that you are doing to support our work. I know that it has been an extremely challenging year and some of you had to cut back or temporarily suspend your support. We completely understand this and remain very appreciative of your doing what you can under the circumstances. We wish you blessings beyond measure as we recover from the pandemic and look forward to some semblance of normalcy soon. Meanwhile, please make sure you and your loved ones are vaccinated and continue to observe all public health guidelines as recommended until we cross the finish line.

While the pandemic has been a tremendous challenge for all of us as it disrupted our routines and pushed us out of our comfort zone, it has taught us some lessons in the process. We learned to slow down and appreciate the small things in life. We also learned the importance of our mental health as well as physical health and how to take better care of ourselves and each other. We learned to be adaptable and creative in the face of all kinds of restrictions that were placed upon us. Hopefully, our experience through this pandemic has allowed us to be more grateful for all that we do have. Life will not be exactly the same as before the pandemic, but there is a silver lining as we carry these invaluable lessons with us in our journey into the future!

Warm regards,
